The best part of my trip to the Clark Center for Japanese Culture Art and Culture was getting ideas for creating an oasis at home.
First, I want to say the climate here isn’t quite as dry as home, but it’s similar in temperature. Also, while it’s not as windy, I get blowing dust advisories on my phone at least weekly.
I did find some great ideas, at least I think so. Take a look!
There are some great alternatives to concrete (although stamped concrete can be pretty great).
The blowing sands of Cruces might make maintaining some things a little hard, but if we can figure a way to protect our oasis, it could be awesome.
Raked Sand? Hmmm …
Now here are some other nice areas
Nice edging ideas (I think)
Not that I think we can have a bunch of Bonzai Trees, and also not to make Workstation 1 feel intimidated, but Some of these are really cool!
